Lincoln-Douglas Debate |
Team Policy Debate is a two-on-two, 90 minute debate. The affirmative team advocates for a resolution, calling for policy change, and the negative team argues against it.
2024 Resolution: The United States Federal Government (USFG) should significantly reform its domestic transportation policy implemented by the Department of Transportation (DOT). |
Lincoln-Douglas Value Debate is a one-on-one, 45 minute debate. The affirmative team attempts to persuade the judge that one stance should be valued over another, using logic, ethics, and philosophy.
2024 Resolution: Rationalism should be valued above empiricism. |
Moot Court
NCFCA Moot Court competition invites teams of two students each to present legal arguments from both sides of a fictional case and to answer questions from an interactive panel of judges. Students learn how to understand and apply the law while responding quickly to questions.
